I embarked on my quest to get to know the I Ching like many people - when things were going badly. When I picked up the Book of Changes and used it, knowing little of its history or of its Daoist and Confucius foundation it was very helpful. As I learned more, it became even more helpful — the better I got to know it — the more entries in my journal of I Ching casts and the results in my life — the more comfortable I got with the answers the Sage provided. I am still not an expert.
